Pride of the Celts the Queensland Pops Orchestra’s favourite Celtic show returns by popular demand. Filled with the spectacular dancers, pipers, singers and musicians expected of such an evening, the Orchestra will be joined by the spectacular Voices of Birralee along with Greg Moore and Liza Beamish for an explosive night of Celtic fun. Featuring favourite songs such as A Hundred Pipers, Bonny Doon, and the orchestral premier of Gaelforce, Peter Graham’s spectacular celtic masterpiece. you will be left spellbound by this evening as the Pride of the Celts rises on stage.

AUGUST 23 QPAC CONCERT HALL 2PM AND 8PM

IN THE MOOD A Big Band experience featuring Ian Maurice and members of Brisbane Brass this is a night for young and old alike as we take a contemporary look at the music from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. This show will pay a special tribute to our Armed Forces and is “Bold and Brassy” with Attitude. The night will conclude with Tchaikowsky’s famous 1812 Overture which is guaranteed to lift the roof.

OCTOBER 18 QPAC CONCERT HALL 2PM AND 8PM

Put your dancing shoes on and join the Pops Orchestra in exploring the music of dance through out the centuries. Helen Donaldson and Dimitri Kopanakis will delight you with beautiful duets and dancers will amaze you with their agility and grace. Featuring pieces from Swan Lake to Saturday Night Fever this show will put a tap in your toes and a spring in your step.
